to put on shows in the basement when they were 7 years old. Since then, he has gone on to
direct and choreograph in a variety of venues and genres.
While still a young and budding artist, Adolpho has managed to be at the helm for some of
the largest companies (Celebrity Cruises, Six Flags), create lavish production for corporate
clients (Sherwin Williams, Saladmaster), as well as had the privilege of working under
musical theatre regulars (Richard Sabellico, Richard Stafford, Michael Tapley).
Most recently - he directed and choreographed 2 wildly successful years of the Miss Fag
Hag Pagaent, a benefit for the Harvey Milk School, featuring some of Hollywood and
Broadway's biggest and most notorious stars! CLICK HERE for Pictures and Press from
the 2009 edition and CLICK HERE for all the fun of the 2010 edition!
Further recent directing- projects included "An Evening with Ben Lerman and his Ukulele"
for the Left Out Festival in New York City as well as "Leibya Fair" at the People's Improv
Theatre. He also served as the Associate Director and Associate Choreographer of
"Welcome to the Sixties" at the Villa Roma Resort in the Catskills, Assistant
Director/Choreographer of "Gypsy" at the North Shore Music Theatre and Assistant
Director/Choreographer of "I Do! I Do!" at the Westchester Broadway.
Musical theatre projects he's loved include staging and choreographing the Paul Gemignani
Tribute Concert featuring Ken Jennings (original Tobias in "Sweeney Todd"), Peter
Marinos (original Magaldi in "Evita"), Donna English, Garth Kravits, Ali Ewoldt, Toni
DiBuono, and more; choreographing "High School Musical" and "Footloose" at the
Mac-Haydn Theatre in Chatham, New York; as well as choreographing "Funny Girl"
starring Debbie Gravitte and Burke Moses, and "Showboat" starring Robert Cuccioli and
Gay Willis. His choreography has been seen at P.S. 122, Ars Nova and the Here Arts
Center - all in New York City. "Puppy Love: A Stripper's Tale" at P.S. 122 was twice
extended and nominated for a New York Innovative Theatre Award. He recently directed
and choreographed "All Shook Up" at the Riverside Center in Virginia.
Beyond musical theatre, Adolpho is adept at numerous styles of dance and theatre forms.
His work has been seen at New York City's infamous Ars Nova Theatre, webmercials
(Blackberry) , Comedy Clubs throughout the Big Apple, and many high schools throughout
the country. He is on the faculty, as well as a judge, for National Talent XChange, teaches
industry youth at Biz Kids, and worked on the creative team to develop, create and produce
entertainment for 30 Six Flags parks internationally.
No matter what kind of project Adolpho works on, he continues to produce fresh
performances, conquer new styles and, ultimately, establish himself as a Creative Force in
the Industry.
